VW to create a Buzz at Geneva

Volkswagen will give its ID Buzz1 its first European outing at the Geneva Motor Show tomorrow, writes Brian Byrne.

The concept vehicle, tomorrow’s evolution of the legendary T1 microbus, has already been shown in Detroit, and showcases the company’s modular electric drive matrix in a larger vehicle application.

The batteries and electric drive system in this instance are housed beneath the floor, leaving the cabin in the 4.9m long vehicle free for passenger space.
